A little over two weeks ago I was told about the Schindler Farm in Mexico, MO. A local news channel had done an investigative report and exposed a pet store for purchasing puppies from a local farm. The landlord kicked the pet store out of its lease.
The Schindler Farm decided to go out of the puppy mill business and was auctioning off more than 800 dogs. While I don't condone giving money to puppy mills, this was an exception to the rule. Rescues from all over the country traveled to MO to try and get as many dogs as they possibly could.
I documented some of this. You will not see any photos or video from the farm itself. We all signed waivers.
Anyway, if anyone is interested in seeing some of the dogs, my follow-up reports, etc, some of the links are below. I'll continue to post updates on my blog as I can.
