While USDAA agility is my first love, the lure of a 3 day trial 25 minutes from home is too big a pull, and we have done 2 AKC trials this year. This one was actually really good timing - we've hit a wall lately with our goals in USDAA, and I have found myself getting frustrated. So it was a bit of an ego boost to go back to running novice and open courses and just pump her up and run as fast as we could.

It paid off well this weekend for us - hopefully our boosted confidence and speed will carry over to our USDAA trial next weekend!

And how Meg feels after running her little tail (well, nubbin) off for me for three days in a row:

Congratulations! I'm curious, though, how many runs did you do to earn all of those ribbons?!

Nice!! What classes did you run?
Novice Standard/Jumpers with weaves on Friday/Saturday, then she moved up to Open for both classes on Sunday. Plus Time to Beat and FAST. She got a Q and 9 points in T2B as well, but that ribbon got lost in the mess of my training bag.

So, a total of 8 classes over 3 days. After running USDAA, it felt like a whole lot of sitting around for us!
