This is Zeus.

He is an 8 1/2 month old Main Coon. We just got him a week ago for my daughter. As most people know she has been through a lot. Well she is also cat crazy(her term). Every time she has a visit here she insists that she do all the cat care so that she prove that she is ready for a cat. All without asking her. She also knows she has to pay for the litter, food, toys and so on. We cover any vet costs, microchip and the like. Well after her last visit we spotted this guy. With all the flooding and people needing to leave their homes he was looking for a new home. He is up to date on all shots and neutered as well.

His personality is perfect for what we were wanting for her. He is a HUGE cuddler and flop cat. He loves to be carried around everywhere and as soon as you pick him up he just flops in your arms. THe very first minute he was in the house he was purring and banging heads with all of us. He adores the dogs as well and Pax warmed up to him quickly. Zen was a little out of sorts but he is coming around. He loves to sleep under the covers and his favorite spot is to be on people. He is great with Nico too.

So at night, even when my daughter is not here, he sleeps in her room. She knows he is here and is so excited to meet him at her next visit. She is the one who named him Zeus and he is already starting to come to his name. He is so feathery soft too. And a big time talker. Anyway here are some more pictures:

Nope he is a Maine Coon. His vet records even state that. He is just a kitten still. Not even a year old. So he has a lot of growing to do and filling out as well.

My daughters next visit is in a week. This week she is at camp and she can't wait to come home and meet him. When she found out his breed she got so excited because she told us the Maine Coon is one of her favorite breeds of cats. This cat will follow along just like the dogs, comes when called and he is very smart. Learns extremely quickly. And very talkative.

k9krazee - LOL Yup. Just means more white fur to vacuum up every day. lol Poor Zen. When we find orange fur we always know it is him. lol

FourIsCompany - She has seen pictures of him and knows what his personality is like and such. She is very excited. The way we see it is this gives her a friend she can confide in with no worries of people bullying her, a soft place to cry if she feels like she can't come to anyone else, something to love her no matter what. And something that is just hers that no one can take from her. All things she very much needs right now.

golden&hovawart - very true but I have no reason to not believe the people we got him from. We have done research on line as well and he resembles the Maine Coon if every thing from body type, coat type and personality. So as far as we are concerned he is a Maine Coon.

He is awesome with Nico too. He will purposely follow Nico around and lay down right in front of him. lol Know Nico will grab him and try and lay on him and he just purrs away the entire time. Of course always supervised. And if Nico is being too rough then we remove them both from each other but the cat comes back for more within minutes. lol

Awww....he's beautiful. I wasn't a cat person until I met my husband who had maine coons. I fell in love with the breed. They are wonderful and love to be with the dogs.

Barb I was shocked at just how dog like they are in personality. Unlike Zen and Pax who could care less where in the house you are(unless they want food. lol) Zeus prefers to be where ever we are. He wants to be involved with everything going on. He adores cuddling and so on. Doug and I have decided the Maine Coons are our breed of cat now. We will enjoy Zeus's company till my daughter is old enough to move to her own place. Then we will look into getting one of our own.
