Save a Dog has a mastiff type mix and I'd like to get your opinions on breed. She's 98 pounds but a little underweight.

Neo was my first guess. She looks just like a black female version of Aslan on another forum. He is a neo, bullmastiff mix.

OK, their description of Female Cane Corso / Neapolitan Mastiff Mix sounds correct. She may be a Bandogge. I have 2 of them. What a beautiful girl! Look at my Kona who is in my avatar.

What a sweet looking thing! Poor girl! I was going to say Neo, but that would just be redundant.

I just want to squeeze her!

Corso was my other thought but I didn't see a description of her. I googled the site and saw it. Seems reasonable to me.

Thanks for all the guesses everyone, I didn't doubt their guess on that one, I just wanted to see if anyone had anything else in mind, I know VERY little about the mastiff types. We almost never get guardian breeds, in fact Save-A-Dog says that they will not take in many guardian breeds because they are not able to deal with any sort of protectiveness. I will meet her on Sunday i hope, assuming she does not get adopted today.

Keep us updated if she gets adopted. If she's still there, I'd like to hear what you think of her.

John is just posting random stuff again.

She looks like a NeoX to me. Hope she finds a good home!

Penny was not at the rescue when I went, she's in a foster home, a shelter environment is probably not best for a mastiff breed and she's DA, so that's a good thing, I'm disappointed I couldn't meet her though. I've only ever met one guardian breed, a Cane Corso who I LOVED, she liked me too, she was at a Rally-O competition I was watching and her owners sat next to me, I talked to her and she laid her head on me and asked for petting which I gave, very sweet dog. A lot less aloof than she should have been, perhaps she wasn't mature yet. I would have liked to meet another though, just to get familiar with them.
