Love precision heeling/competition ob. Well, I haven't bothered to compete, but I like watching it and I like training it.

My dogs were adding on to their rally routine, especially Summer. 'But wouldn't this be more fun if I added a spin here and then played dead when you told me to down/stay?' Mia took the jump at full agility speed too. I know I know... we should train harder. At least I find it more amusing when they improvise.

Hahaha...I've sworn up and down I will never teach a dog 'roll over' ever again. I taught Casey that, and every time I asked her to down she would roll over. Yikes. I taught Romeo to spin too and it's now his default behavior if I make a crappy hand signal or he's confused.

How are mals living in multidog households? Obviously you have several dogs Adrianne and are defying the odds with bully breeds and mals, but how are they overall? I do have a secret interest in them (not until after I own my own house, however, if ever). They really do seem like they would be fun as hell...is it bad those vids don't scare me at all?

I looked down and found Backup chewing a Nyla bone through the sheet.

Yup, my dog is a destructive ne'er do well.

Mine do well with each other. Backup is not a social dog, Sloan does well with dogs though. I definitely appreciated having 2 when they were pups, they could entertain one another when I was over it.

Aeri is generally a mush with other dogs, but we have had a few arguments between her and Snipe, though I'm pretty sure Snipe started them.

Indy so far can be a bitchy bitch. Especially with Ozzy. It's like she enjoys pushing his buttons (she probably does) and goes out of her way to f*ck with him. That seems to be her thing lol. Enzo she ignores, so I know it's not SSA, but Ozzy seems to have a "kick me" sign on him, because a LOT of dogs are like this with him, so IDK

I always get confused when people say their dog 'has no off' switch. I think it get thrown around a lot and people mean different things by it. If going by the above criteria then Mia 'has no off switch', even though I think she does. If she's lying still and I so much as move, squeak a toy, or make like I'm going to say something, she's up in a flash, tearing around the room screaming. It takes about a split second to get her from completely at rest to mach10 screaming papillon. But I don't think that means she doesn't have an off switch. She just 'turns on' (for lack of a better word) easily.

When I think of 'no off switch' I think of the dog that paces or spins or is doing something all the time. Am I just using that word totally wrong?

See, my Izze was like that before arthritus in her back got her. She was a working fiend, there was this steer at the place we used to work at that was separated into the front pen to be fattened for slaughter, & a few times I had to call her ' bring her inside when I was up at our house (which backed right up to the pen almost) bc she would work & f*** with that steer until she dropped from exhaustion if I didn't :/. When I lost her, my life was almost boring I mean I love buddy & Josefina, but they are both "soft" dogs that throw calming signals at the slightest quick move or sign of general agitation from me (I have a tendency to be very vocal when I am working with equipment or something like that) Izze would have been right there wonderif if there was anything she could do to help .

A good amount of mals I have met were like her, which is why think they would be a good fit.
