Momma, stop with the camera
I know I'm pretty
She had a very fat belly
Sleepy after eating
Some sad news, it is looking like she will be at least hearing impaired if not deaf, but it's too early to tell for sure.
OMG she is beautiful!!! How many weeks is she now? That is sad about her hearing.
Ummm she will be 4 weeks come August 11.
After looking at those pictures her eyes look a little funny too compared to that of one of her sisters (her picture's in there, with the black over her eye)
Then again I've never been around puppies that age
She is too precious!! That one of her pawing at the knit blanket... eee!
She'll be a lovely dog, even if she has some hearing impairment. =>
She is beautiful, I am sure you can't wait until she comes home. Love the markings she has.
Excuse my ignorance, I am not too familiar with Danes, and their breeding. Is there always a risk for deafness and/or blindness when breeding Danes? Is there no genetic testing to prevent offspring that are blind or deaf? Is it because this little girl is white? Sorry for the 100 and 1 questions, it is always something I have been curious about as I have run across many white danes that are deaf.
It's the result of a double merle gene (harlequin X harlequin typically - not all the time) will create a white puppy; it's the lack of pigment on eyes/ears that causes the problems.
Sorry for the short answer I'm not feeling well and need to head to bed
Wow she's growing like a weed! Cuuuuute.
TORTURE! You are giving me puppy fever! hahahaha
She is beautiful Cheeza
I just love the spots on her nose.
I had a deaf Boston Bull Terrior when I was a kid. You can teach them your own sign language and they will learn like any other dog and it helps with other dogs around too that already know. The only bad things is with the hearing they can't hear things in their environment like cars. So they do need to be watched. Our dog had other funny things about him too but he was the sweetest ever!
I can't get her out of my head lol. I wish I could see her more than i already do, but I do see her a lot more than most people get to probably, so I'm grateful for that.
