...is tomorrow.

My instructor said the first trial should just be all about making it THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER, and to focus on speed over accuracy. (I have the Dory line from Nemo in my head..."just keep moving, just keep moving"). I'm not expecting Qs at all, but I'm still nervous for some reason. We're signed up for two standards and two jumpers classes.

I just hope I don't forget the course, lol.

I have to be there at 7 am to have her measured, and it's an hour long drive...so I guess we're leaving the house at 5:30 am tomorrow. DH is going to be so happy :p

Thanks Barb--we had fun!

We had 4 runs (2 jumpers and 2 regular). The first run was a disaster--zoomies all over the place. The second run we salvaged the second half and ended strong. The third run was PERFECT except for a backwards weave entry--but I didn't want to fix it because I wanted to encourage her drive and focus. Finally, last run of the night, we Q'd!!! And the icing on the cake is it was a first place!

An awesome, awesome first trial :)

Sooooo proud of my baby :) :) :)

Thanks guys :) It was a looooong day. Got there at 7 am, and didn't leave till 6:45 pm. The high for the day was 35, so we were COLD. Next weekend I'm going to rig up some way to bring a portable heater!

Woohoo congrats to you and Lucy:) I loved reading about your decisions while out during your runs.

I love that you decided to keep running Lucy after the backwards weave entry and not kill her enthusiasm at her very first trial.

How great it must have been to see her work through all of her excitement in the first few runs only for her to have an awsome final run and first place none the less!!

A big congrats again:)
