We had someone come in today that was going to euthanize their 6 month old long hair chihuahua because he broke his leg and they couldn't afford treatment. He broke it about a month ago, and they've just had it splinted since then (the same splint the entire time :wall: ). We had them sign the dog over to the clinic, and I volunteered to foster him. We're taking xrays in the morning to see where things are, taking the splint off and looking at the leg itself. I can't afford to plate the leg, either, but an amputation is better than putting him down, and with the splint being on for a month that may be the only option anyway. So, looks like I'll be fostering another chihuahua for a while. If anyone is interested in taking him or knows someone that wants him after he's all healed, let me know. I'm kind of hoping my parents want him since they've been missing the last one lately, but I don't know. I don't know a whole lot about him yet, but I'll get to know his personality better once I actually have him and he's here for a while.
