I dabbled with some painting years ago, and I am trying to get back into it. I've attached two water colours that I am looking for comments on - sorry, I know one is a fish and not a dog, but I'm hoping that's ok.
I'd like to be able to offer water colour and gouache to my clients for pet portraits once I am comfortable again in the medium. My painting style is very different from my drawing style, and I think it would be neat to be able to add this style for those that like it.
All comments welcome ... thank you very much everyone! :)

I like them both, but the fish one is just awesome, I couldn't see it being done in B&W, the colour brings it out.

I think you would have no trouble at all. Good Luck to you! One suggestion since most are hung in a home enviorment you might want to go with a softer blue.

I couldent agree more They are stunning i love the fish as well. I think the attention to detail in it really helped bring it out. Im really into art as well and for me I know drawing is much easier than watercolor I always have a problem with colors running.

Wonderful

Your watercolor work is wonderful. I went to your website and your drawings are extremely nice and your prices very modest. Do you have a newsletter that I could subscribe to? I would like to purchase a drawings in the future for both personal use and for display on my retail website.

Thanks,

Hans

Great Job.

I like your style. Heavy lines with different thicknesses can do alot for a drawing or painting. Some people don't realize that. The dog has a great expression. The drawing itself came out great. I'm not so sure about how you applied the color though. Maybe blending the colors a little bit would add more depth. But then again, the single solid colors separated from one another is a specific style I sometimes enjoy. Overall the two painting came out nice!
