So I'm browsing craigslist like I should so often not do, and I see a posting for "free wonderful dog to good home". I click. I look at the picture and think, "Man, that is a gorgeous dog. Looks kind of familiar." Then I read the information.
My heart just stops. I work at a boarding clinic, and we had two Rottweiler/Pit Bull mixes board fairly regularly for awhile. One's name was Fuzz (his sister looked more Pit than Rott and had a weird name I couldn't pronounce). He would be about three now. I was absolutely head over heels in love with that dog. He was BRILLIANT. Great temperament, great build, so happy to see whom he dubbed as his person, actually on the small side (maybe Chloe's size), kind of shy until he warmed up to you but when he did, he was a complete and total love bug. I remember thinking when they went home (owner was a couple days late to pick them up) that I should mention something about wanting to take him home myself, so if for some reason they ever couldn't keep him they'd think of me. My heart just about broke when I took the dogs up and Fuzz immediately went into shy "I don't really know you, but I'll be happy to see if you are nice to me" mode when he saw his owners and tried to stay by me.
I think I'm going to contact the person and see if it is the same dog. Offer to help if I can. I would hate for him to go to someone that couldn't offer him the best. But I don't know what I can do with the current situation being the way it is.
Fingers crossed that this guy gets his perfect home?
I'm trying to find a good home for one of my dogs. As much as I'd love to keep him I can't... His name is fuzz. He's almost three yours old. Half rottweiler half pitbull. He is a very loving dog and needs lots of love. Good with kids. Serious inquiries only please. If you are not responsible do not reply to this post..
