Let's play a fun game

I have in front of me two things I bought today. One is a package of two Halloween tennis balls that I bought at PetSmart. The second is a package of fancy (read: surprisingly not full of bad stuff) cookies I found on clearance at Target.

Auggie is currently in his crate while people finish eating dinner, and I will soon be getting him back out to play. I am going to offer to him the tennis balls and a cookie.


So let's play a game... what do you think Auggie will do?

a) ignore the cookie and grab the tennis balls to play
b) ignore the balls and grab the cookie
c) snag the cookie first, then grab a tennis ball
d) attempt to pick up both tennis balls in his mouth AND eat the cookie, all at the same time

I have to admit I expected D myself, LOL...
He saw the tennis balls and came running. Only at the last second did his gaze change, he spotted the cookie laying on the floor... and he abandoned the tennis balls for the cookie.
Then he stood there going DURP DURP DE DURP licking the floor where the cookie had been, ignoring the tennis balls until he was TOTALLY SURE he got all of the cookie. *facepalm* Then, and only then, did he turn back to the balls. =P


Though I plan to repeat the experiment a few times and see if he always reacts the same, LOL.
