I went home for lunch. When I opened the door, I saw Voodoo sprawled out in his favorite chair. Zeus was stretched full-length on the sofa. I said "Hi boys, I'm home!"

What do I get? Each dog barely opens his eyes and gives a few half-hearted tail thumps. I swear they were thinking "Oh, it's just you. Could you leave the light off, please?" Then they promptly went back to sleep.

Harrumph! What's the point of having dogs if they're not happy to see you when you come home? That's one of the best parts of having a dog!

I feel so insulted. :( ;)

OMG, wanna trade?

I go out for 10 minutes, come back in and the boys dance around me and woo like I've been gone for days. If we need to avoid the racket (especially from Ripley) I have to take them out WITH me.

My collies do this sometimes and at first, I'm pretty offended. But I really think that they're just so comfortable and trusting that they all they have to do is make sure it's me and then just go back to sleep. But you're right, I prefer the wild welcome! :)

Lol...I'd appreciate my dogs doing that just once. Tango's excited to see me if I leave 5 seconds. She acts like she hasn't seen me for months. If I take her out with me when we have to get dog food, I bring her in the house first when we get back home and then go back to the car to get the bag...when I bring the bag back in the house, you'd never know she had just been with me the entire time. She's just as excited to see me then as she is when I leave for an hour or so.

Oh puh-lease! I want! If I could just get any household task completed without Chester velcroed to me like my own personal shadow I would get down on my knees and thank doggy god! Lol....

But I know how you feel - they stick to us like glue and then when they don't want us we're like, `Exsqueeze me??' :D

LOL! Well, I got a hello when I came home. I feel better now. :D I must be lucky--Zeus and Voodoo usually dont' go insane with their greetings.
