I KNOW I can't be the only fool who hasn't finished Christmas shopping eons ago. Is anyone still not done, or finishing up now?

Today I went out did pretty well. I went to the local General Store (which has been opened since the mid 1800s and is now run by the county as a historical site) and I got:

Goat's milk soap for my brother (he always steals mine )
Eggnog mix for my brother
An adorable snail sculpture for my friend
a pan scrapper thing (for my mom's stocking)
I also got a tiny bear-shaped jar of honey that says Happy Birthday for my dad and a bunch of books for my parents to give me for Christmas :p

Then I went to best buy and got:

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises on blu-ray for Dad
An iPhone car adapter for my brother
Computer speaks for my brother
A bunch of 4$ dvds for my parents to give to me for Christmas :p

So my brother's done, Dad's sort of done but it's his birthday and Christmas this week so, not really, I still need to get something else for my friend and probably my other friend who's also got a Birthday/Christmas all at once, and I've gotten my Mom NOTHING  and have no idea what to get her, except to go back to one of the stores we went to together and just get her some Christmas ornament or something. Which she has 600 of already. She likes jewelry but my Dad got her a lot of jewelry and I don't want to be a copycat.

Went to Amish country and finished up for my step mom. Amish basket, some mixes for cooking, choclate, cheese. (I found choclate covered sunflower seeds! For me of course!)

Bought Chaz a new kimber 1911 at fin.

My dad a knife on top of what he did get.

Still didn't get the two gift cards I've been meaning to! I have been looking for a mug with a pug on it to and no luck! So back out tomorrow!

Headed to give my friends kids their gifts we just spent an hour wrapping. I suck at it. I'd rather pay someone. I know kids don't like gift bags lol.

Uhhhh.... I STARTED my Christmas shopping today.

I have 9 presents to buy, and I've only finished 2.5 of them lol. I got fairy headbands/wands for my 2 nieces, and an LOLcats book for the family gift exchange - but I still have to get something else to finish that gift off. Probably just candy.

I'll be hitting up Target and Toys R Us later this evening. Hopefully late enough that it is not as super insane...

I got my mom a gift, the nieces and nephews are all set. I want to get something else for my mum but I just lent her ALL of my money, so may give her an IOU to not repay me a portion of it and spend it on xyz. lol

Got most of it done! Just have my parents left... and they're so hard to buy for. :( The easiest thing is gift cards but ugh I hate doing that, except as a total last resort.

My 2 nephews are getting a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle DVD with 13 episodes or something, and a Phineas & Ferb game for their Wii.

My 1 year old niece was the hardest to shop for (what do 1 year olds play with???) so I just settled on this toy that's like... a snail, and the shell is a drum/xylophone. I don't know. She probably already has it because they have every toy imaginable.

Ended up finishing off my LOLcats book gift with a giftcard to Chipotle. Which I am taping inside the cover, so when whoever gets stuck with it is sad that they got this silly book.... surprise! $25 worth of Chipotle! Hahah.

But I just remembered my biggest fail. I was supposed to get one of my nephews 2 presents, because his birthday is on Christmas Eve... and I totally forgot.

Been 99% done for a while now, can't stand shopping the week before Christmas....not even grocery shopping! I can deal with crowded (I shop black fridays!) But I can't deal with the stressful vibes (and hatefulnes in some cases) dripping off most shoppers in the final countdown.

I said 99% because I need a GOB of scratch off tickets for fun stocking stuffer and 1 restaurant gift card to actually say I'm done :)

I need stocking stuffers for the dogs and something for my brother's girlfriend. The former I'm getting Monday when the feed store opens (I sort of forgot I need food too, and they're clsoed tomorrow). The latter I can get at the gift shop at work tomorrow (yay 40% discount! And clearance tables!)

Guess who still hasn't gotten Mom a present?!?

NRG. I'm thinking about going back to the general store and buying her this cute sculpture of winter animals all piled up. She listed a couple of random little things she wanted last night and my dad (who already got her a million presents) went out early this morning and bought them for her.

I could get her soap and body type stuff but I don't think she cares for that very much...

I need to pick up a few last minute small things for my husband and parents.

I also need to pick up some treats for our dog, mom and dad's dog, and my best friend's dog and cat. Henry, Maggie, Holly, and Bert lol.

My best friend, Sam, and I always send our presents late. It's a tradition. We call them New Year's gifts :) So I need to get her package in the mail tomorrow. She's military and a few states away.

I haven't shopped for my parents at all. I'm giving my brother a stereo system that'll hook up to his iPod, and Rick has just been getting assorted things throughout the month. He's a brat and hates waiting for Christmas :p
