When my mare had her first filly it was like clockwork.
Waxed up on the 340th day from last cover and the next night filly was born.
The next filly she waxed up on the 350th day from last cover and 3 days later she had the filly in the middle of the day
Her last filly the vet actually induced labor when she was at 365 days, had waxed up on the 345th day from the last cover, lost the wax and was squirting milk with each step. I didn't think I was going to survive that last month!! Notice ;) that was her last foal.

I hope for you (and us :) ) that it's very soon!!! Well perhaps after you get some good sleep!

No puppies, it is 7 am, and her temp is 98 exactly. She looks like hell, blood shot eyes, wont pant, but moaning while breathing, she lays and looks like death warmed over, eyes rolling up, etc. She slept good last night, wasnt real restless, no more then usual, and the puppies???OMG are they going wild in her. By her spine, below her ribs, kicking like CRAZY!

Ill be back soon.

No news yet....lol you guys are funny! Wow, Dixie is famous!

She is still nesting, grooming herself, and her back legs will spasm every so often, but no contractions or panting yet, but she is breathing hard and heavy!

I was watching her and saw somwthing wiggle be her head, she noticed it as well. A lizard must have gotten in from outside somehow. She usually chases them, but just looked at it like, HI! So she has a whelping partner, Im gonna try and get a picture.

I have also gotten a million calls, half of which came from hubby! If I were helping deliver a puppy, Id throw the phone!

Be back shortly, hopefully w/ some better news.

I put a blanket on the floor outside her box for me to lay on and wait, every time I get up, she steals it!! First real day I have seen her really nest, bunching everything in a pile and perching on top!She tries not to let any part of her fall off of her mountain, but I got news for her, she is absolutly overflowing off of her mountain on all sides!!heheheee.

Yeah Dixie has stolen the limelight as now we all feel like grandparents waiting for the news of our grandchildren :) From the sound of the heavy breathing, she just might be in the earliest stages. I remember when my pekes were in the first ealy stages she would breath hard but panting for her didnt start until the first one was on its way out. I just loved being there and helping with the deliveries. She had 6 her first litter which surprised me, but she was such a good trooper, just pooped out at the last one.

Dixie we are all rooting for ya, hurry sweetie we want to see the bundls of fur

You are kidding, right? THIS is the "earliest stages???" You mean we are not half way there yet???

I wish she would just wake up and PUSH already!

Watch her breathing.... if she holds it for 2 or 3 seconds, she could be starting labor. Pups would quiet down during this stage too.
