FINALLY cooled off enough to run some dogs today.

Maisy was excited to hear the s-word and spun by the back gate.

Getting ready to head out. I really love this picture.

Water break.

Maisy's dilemma: Chase that squirrel or keep running? Maisy's solution: Hop up into the air while maintaining forward momentum like some kind of bizarre small black deer.

Then Pip and I went to the dog park, and this is how he felt about it.

The End... thanks for looking!

Maisy and Squash look like they make such a good team. Plus Squash is big enough he might anchor Maisy if the critter-chasing temptation becomes too much ;)

Where did you get your harnesses from, btw?

Great pics...especially love that first one of the Duo in harness.

Honestly, it's usually the other way around. Once she is in harness, she just gets this incredible focus. He's the one who's likely to get distracted and go off course, and she will body block, shove, or drag him back onto the trail. It actually is quite amazing, she's done it from day one so it's nothing I've taught her. Not bad for a little random houndy thing. :D (But it is kind of funny how he's just head down, moving along in that picture.)

I got my harnesses from Alpine Outfitters, I like that their nylon is just a wee bit stiff, just enough to ever so slightly hold the shape of the harness. It's a lot easier for me to get the harnesses on and off the dogs that way.

Thanks. I really love that picture, too, there's just something about the looks on their faces. They're calm but sort of intense, too. :)
