to wipe out Hammie's ears. WOW...does it ever do a good job. I dilute it, of course, with warm water.....squeeze out the cotton ball really well. I must also say that he has learned to love having his ears cleaned. AND, not only are his ears very clean, he hasn't been bothered with any infections. :D

I've got to try that solution with Sadie (cocker). She's always at her ears. That may be an easy fix, instead of numerous visits to the vets. How often should you do the cleansing? Don't want to overdue it if it may become harmful rather than good.

Anthony, I'm just using diluted white vinegar..half warm water/half vinegar. It really only takes a tablespoon or so. I wet the cotton ball, wring it out well...then wipe out his ears. I reach as deep into the ear canal as I can...OH the crud in there!!!!! I clean his ears every week. I can't imagine what might be in there if I let it go beyond that! It cleans them so well...wayyyy better than the oto-clens stuff I got from the vet. Since I don't seem to have to wipe so much, it is less irritating.

And yes, Renee......that boy LOVES any and all attention.
