It's June Bug's third birthday!

Remember when she came home? A ratty little 3-month rescue kitten, already spayed and operated on for a hernia. Oh, and with a level 1 heart murmer.

She grew pretty quickly...

We discovered she was VERY playful...

...and she met who would become her very best friend, still just a puppy himself.

Though it wasn't exactly love at first sight...

There were a lot of trials... figuring out exactly where boundaries were and how to play appropriately.

But this brave little kitten held her own. She showed him when she'd had enough, and that she could "fight" back!

She also asserted her dominance.

The puppy and kitten slowly and surely learned to co-exist in harmony...

And to this day, they're inseperable.

And as for June Bug herself, she's grown into a very pretty lady...

... who loves hanging with me while I work (and trying to eat my tablet pen)...

... loves messing with the ferrets...

...and generally makes me smile every single day.

I don't have any new pics of her, because I suck. I'll try for a shoot in the next little while.
