Poor guy. :(

Well, Wednesday night we found diarrhea upstairs. We cleaned it up and noticed Beau was acting kind of off. He was a bit lethargic and we figured his tummy was just not feeling good. Anyways, the next day he was really restless and would lie down, then move his back end and lie down again, over and over. He refused to hold his tail up and was walking a bit stiff in the back end with his back arched ever so slightly. His appetite's off and he won't eat dog food well. He'd take treats but would sit with them in front of him forever then finally eat them. That's totally not normal, he'd usually just scarf it down. So we were worried and took him in to the vet's. As soon as we got there, he got excited and was acting fine. We weighed him and he was down a few ounces (which is a lot for him). They drained his anal glands and that was it. Said he looked fine and seemed confused as to why we brought him in. So we brought him home and he was acting stiff and such again. He barely ate and was restless all night. He refuses to play with his sister, which is also very odd. so he's back in the vet's today. He'll probably act fine once he gets there. I'm sure to most people that don't know him that he looks normal. But there's definitely something going wrong.

Anyways, I'm worried and will be worried until we get this all sorted out. We need some good vibes for Beaubeau. And he turned three years old today too. :(

Poor guy, we had to leave him at the vet's until about four so they could run some tests on him. He had a fecal yesterday and it came back fine.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Crossing my fingers that he'll be OK. That is so worrying when they're off like that. I hope the vet figures something out. Poor guy.....and on his birthday! A-w-w-w..hope he can still have a happy birthday anyhow.

I'm glad you took him. You know him better than anybody so, even if they said nothing is wrong, you know better. I have had Charlie at the vet several times where they said nothing was wrong but I know my boy and I know when he's not himself. And it never fails, a day or 2 later, he has some horrible infection or something.

Happy Birthday Beau! Get better Sweetie!

Well, he checked out okay again today. Going to go pick him up. they checked his back/knees for anything since he was walking stiff but nothing there, did bloodwork but nothing was wrong either. Maybe I'm paranoid? Beau also has the lowest pain tolerance of any dog I know. If a little something is wrong he'll carry on forever about it. When he got his last set of shots, you'd have thought we'd killed him. He may be overreacting, who knows. Will definitely keep an eye on him though!

Anyways, on with the happy birthday, I suppose!
