I really wish we could get the Acana Light & Fit food in the US.

Since I need a low fat formula for Jax now, it would fit the bill, but you can't get it in the US. Poo. :(

The ACANA Light & Fit is part of the ACANA Classic line and it is not available in the U.S. because it contains Milk Thistle which is a botanical which provides protective antioxidants that defend and strengthen the liver. Milk Thistle is approved by AAFCO as a supplement but not as a food additive. We are looking at reformulating our ACANA Classic line but it will not be done in the immediate future.

I am very sorry that we cannot be more help to you at this time and please contact us with any further questions that you may have.

You can drive it across the border i believe, just can't sell it down there. I have quite a few clients who feed Acana non-grain-free and travel down there all the time. That doesn't help a ton though as you're not within driving distance of the border easily.

Lol, yeah, that'd be quite a hike for dog food. Not worth it unfortunately. Just didn't know if there was anyway to get it shipped, but I guess not. Boooo. :(

Thanks, though.

Maybe find someone in Canada who can get it for you and ship it themselves? Shipping costs might be prohibitive, but it's worth a try.

I could ship some down for you as long as it doesn't get stopped at the border and you're willing to pay for shipping...

Thanks guys! How do I go about finding out how much shipping would be? If it's a lot, it wouldn't be worth it.

Actually, I read an email from Champion on another forum where they are working on getting their classic line to the US later this year. I think it said fall. That would be cool!

You can probably either call the post office or ask USPS. One way to do it is to use super slow shipping but it can take 4-6 weeks, the thing I'm worried about though is if it's gonna get too hot or wet or whatever. You can also get it shipped by air but I think that's going to be a bit expensive.
