I'm not sure if my pup is sick or not. This morning she was just more sleepy than normal. When I took her outside she acted totally normal, not lethargic at all, but when we came back in, she went right into her bed and went back to sleep. Normally she would play around with me during that time. I know this sounds stupid, but she also has terrible terrible gas. No runny poops or anything like that . . . all normal. And then, she just peed on my carpet 10 minutes after she had been outside and peed and pooped. She has not had an accident since April when we first got her (she's just over a year right now)

We haven't changed anything that I can think of. No change in diet, routine or anything like that. I don't really get it. I was thinking of taking her to the vet, but I don't even know what for?

Any suggestions?

Other than just peeing on the floor and having a little gas she's fine. Perky, happy, eating normally.

I just don't get it at all . . .

Dogs have their moments when they don't feel very well, too. just like their humans. ;)

Banzai had a day like this not too long ago and it really stressed me out! I was so concerned and after a day or two the little buggar was happy as can be! :D

But, do keep an eye on your pup, just in case.. and maybe someone else will have some ideas also. Good luck.

It is so stressful! And it makes it worse because they can't just tell us what's wrong. Hopefully she's just got a little doggie cold or something.

Thanks for the help. Maybe someone else will know something we don't and have some suggestions!

Could be. ^

I'll check back to see if anyone else offers any insight.

Just make notes of how your dog is, etc.. Watch for any significant change, etc..

I've been watching her like a hawk all day! I stopped home on my way back to work from a hearing I had this morning, and then came back at lunch and my hubby was home by 2:30, so I'm being extra cautious . . .

Hopefully it's nothing . . .

A trip to the vet might not be needed for her ...but for your peace of mind , I'd go . I allow 24 hours ( unless it's an obvious problem ) , then off we go .

May not be a cold or health issue, but more so a behavior trait. I know that with many dogs, if not given enough attention for periods at a time, they can act out like that to attact some sort of attention from their owners, regardless if its bad or not. I'm wondering if you have been possibly ignoring the dog more than usual or spending more time with someone or something else.
