Is he crazy???

Ok, as I said in my intro my parents have 4 pugs and are highly involved in the "Pug" world. I recently came across the opportunity to rescue a poor puglet you had been left to live outside. The thing is she was only suppose to stay at our apartment 2 days and then I would drive to meet my parents who would then take her and get her fixed and UTD on her shots and then give her to a foster home where she would then be adopted from.....
Can you guess my problem??? Well, Dan, my boyfriend, who btw said he never wanted a pug, has fallen in love with her and wants to keep her. This would make 4 dogs!!! I absolutely would love to have a pug but I don't want to get in over our heads. She is 3-4 years old and very sweet so it isn't another puppy but....
Dan really wants to keep her and I would love to. I know a lot of you have multiple dogs how and why did that happen?? How is it working out? We live in an 2 bedroom/2 bath apt....very nice size...have 4 dogs parks close by and Dan only works 2 nights a week...does this make us crazy for considering it?!?!?

Btw, this is the Puglet, her name is Mazie she says "how could you say no to me???"

A small molosser isn't all that much to add, especially when she looks at you like that! Letting the boyfriend 'have his way' give you some leverage later on when you might need it, lol

Seriously, if you're okay on the initial expenses (spay, shots, etc.) a pug doesn't add that much to the food bill and if she's getting along with the others and they like each other they won't mind sharing the attention a bit farther. Consider if you think you can deal with possible future vet bills for one more (of course you can't afford them, most of us can't but we stretch it anyway, lol), look her in the eyes, and see if you can stand to send her on to another home. I'm betting she stays!
