Ok here comes anouther get to know yet anouther member of the team stories lol.

Iris is special on many levels. I heard about Iris 2 years ago from my dad he said he got himself a free dog he did'nt want and wanted to know if i was interested. I really wasent figuring if he did'nt want this dog why would I ? But I decided to go and take a look at her of course my dad was unable to tell me she had a broken leg!!!When i got there there lay Iris one of he front legs in a cast looking up at me thumping her tail good and hard on the floor. My dad said he has known her and her relatives fairly well she was from a long line of high acheiving racing dogs and she was a Champion up until her recent accident being hit by a car. My dad said she was 3 years old and probley no good for racing anymore but had been bred once and created great stock and would probley make a great contribution to my pack. Of course I was already in love and decided to take her.

It took her a good 7 months to heal up her leg. I then got her tested and passed as a breeding dog. I have yet to breed her but have been slowly but surely getting her back into racing and have her turned into a nice swing dog who gets the least pulling. The vet said running her has been doing her wonders on her leg and moveability. Iris gets extra leg massages everyday and i pay extra attention to her when active she doesent even limp anymore  which is something they thought she may be stuck with. Iris is a Princess and a beauty at that i may breed her this year but probley will wait until next year. I don't know just felt like she needed to be mentioned.

LOL ^ I agree

It's amazing what animals can do with a little patience and faith. My horse broke her leg and the vet wanted to put her to sleep because it was costly and she wouldn't be much good. .... a couple years later she was jumping again! not often or very high but still. And she was the mother of my little Sadie. :D

I'm so glad you took her in. I bet she is very grateful and repays you in all kinds of ways.

House dog I assume?
