I made my last car payment!

Okay the debt was owed to my sister so it wasn't like a real loan or anything lol, but I made sure to pay her the same amount each month so it sure felt like a legit car payment!

What am I going to do with this extra money each month? Probably apply it towards paying off my credit card and student loans. Yep, I'm doing real well at this adult stuff today.

:D Sweet! I <3 seeing and hearing of young people taking care of their responsibilities, doing good things, and being proud of themselves at the end of the day!

You deserve that wonderful 'adult' feeling SP.............sounds like you're more grown up than lots of 'grown ups' I know! LOL

I know how you feel, I just finished paying my car off as well. :D It's the second car I've owned, but I only had my first car for a few months after I finished paying it off. This one should last a while *knockonwood* so I get to enjoy REAL car ownership!

Now I'm saving for a down payment on a house. ;)

    Woot! Congrats!

The car I have now is, barring complications, going to be the first one I've ever paid off before selling it. I used to put so many miles on my cars with my old job. I can't wait to be free of car payments for a while! I've got 14 months left to go - my goal is to be 100% debt free by the end of next year.

It's a super nice feeling! Yeah, as much as I want to be smart with my extra money.... it'll probably just go to pet stuff lol. What I'd really like to do is start saving "for the future" but I don't know which is smarter.... saving, or throwing more into my student loan payments. I was paying my sister $200 a month so I could put that into savings OR just pay an extra $100 a month to each student loan. Hmmm. It would sure LOOK more comforting to have it saved but in the long run maybe it'd be smarter to just chip away at the loans.

In either case - it is nice to know I have options now LOL.
