I'm picking her up next Saturday! It was a kind of spur of the moment thing. I went to PetSmart to buy Carlie some Christmas presents and came upon the same rescue that I got Carlie from. Standing there was this gorgeous and sweet Corgi that I couldn't walk away from. She's a pure bred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Her past owner was a germaphobe and didn't like how she shed so she ended up in the rescue. She's so sweet. She's getting spayed next Friday and she's going to get a fecal test before I take her home on Saturday.

Her name right now is Dixie, but we're not sure we absolutely love that name so we might change it. Any ideas for a name?

Here are pictures of her that were posted on Petfinder:

Yay another corgi on Chaz! Did her owner have her shaved? She looks bald in the photo of her on the move!

I'm with ya on the name... Dixie isn't "her". I see Saffron when I look at her, but that's just me, with my crazy name ideas! ;)

I'm not sure about the shaving.. we did see a little spot on her back that looked like it had been shaved, but she's definitely not bald, lol.

Saffron is a neat name...I don't know, though. I think I like people names better.

Thank you! Yeah, we were sad we couldn't take her home today, but she might have worms and I don't want Carlie to get them. So it's better this way plus we can get everything ready for her. :)

OT - it's not around anymore, the stupid TV bigwigs took it off the air. Ask anyone though, it was great. I have the entire show on DVD. The movie "Serenity" was a continuation of the show, if you remember that being in theaters awhile back. There are a bunch of lifelong, diehard Firefly fans out there... RD being one of them! (me too!)

That's so awesome! She's beautiful you could go with a seasonal name...Holly, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Joi (Joy), Faith, Angel.

Other names maybe: Chloe, Bailey, Abby, Brandy, Gracie, Bridget, Casey, Kayla, Buffy, Heidi, Isabel (Izzie, Bell), Nina, Patty, Shasta, Tonya, Sonya, Tilly, Tori, Zelda, Crystal, Crissie. Yeah that's all I can think of I always likes non people names though but I tried to find people ones for you that seemed good.

And some Welsh names (assuming that's where they are actually from): Arwen, Bronwyn.
