If something were to happen to me, Michael would keep the animals, no question. Same as if something were to happen to him, I'd keep them all.

If we were both unable to care for the animals....I honestly don't know. His parents would fight over Cynder, but that concerns me due to her health condition. I would rather he end up with his mother over his father, but even then...I don't think she'd do well. :/

My parents would probably take Histamine. Whether they keep her or rehome her I'm not sure, but it would probably all depend on how she fit in with the other animals. Abrams...that I'm not sure, either. My parents would probably want to keep him because he's my dog, but he would be an absolutely horrible fit. I'm not sure I'd trust anyone else with him, either. He needs someone who can appreciate his Abrams-ness. They would probably try, though. I can't imagine them rehoming him unless it was to someone they knew and trusted completely. He could go back to his breeder, but I'm not sure my parents would even think to get in touch with her.

Mom might keep my Guinea Pig, too. She likes piggies. But he'd likely be rehomed.

Basically, nothing is allowed to happen to both Michael and I, because no one else is crazy enough to handle them or experienced enough to handle Cynder's health issue. I would be 100% okay with people from this forum contacting my family in the case of both of Michael and I's passing and offering to take the animals. LOL

If I died, they'd all stay with my parents.
Cobain is my dad's favourite anyways.

Josh might take on Rigby if he ever gets into a stable enough living situation. Otherwise, I give Rig 6 months after my death before my parents decide they've had enough of her.

This is assuming Rick and I both died. Rick would keep both Bloo and Em if it was just me. And then curse my soul until Bloo died.

Copper and Shadow would stay with my folks as they are both really "family" dogs.

Em really wouldn't take living with many other people well. She's kind of an asshole. Christin or Meagan or Terri could have dibs if they felt so inclined. If none of them wanted her, I would want her euth'd, probably. My parents would take care of her, quite happily, but she wouldn't be happy with them.

ETA: Christin is taking Em.
ETAA: Meagan will take Bloo. She gets euth'd otherwise.
If Christin doesn't want Em, Hudson would like her

I honestly don't have anything written in stone. I probably should.

My family would never ever let him go to a shelter. My dad would be my #1 and likely would be the one to step up anyway. My whole family knows how big of a part of the family Jackson is to me.

And while he'd probably end up fat and under-exercised with my dad, at least he would be happy and taken care of overall.

I have other family members that would probably step up too but I personally wouldn't really want him with anyone else but my dad and step-mom.

A member on this forum will "get" Kobe, but not necessarily to keep (unless she wanted to). Otherwise she'll find him a suitable home. We discussed this a couple times so there's no surprises.

I don't know what will happen to Syl yet. She's far too much for anyone I know locally. And not nearly as easy to place from a distance as Kobe would be, since Kobe would be happy in any kind of family home with any kind of pets and any children as long as they don't let him loose. Syl has more demanding needs.

So unsure yet and honestly trying not to think about it for the time being.

Fiance and I have had this convo many times...
If I die, he would keep the crew.
If he died, I would keep the crew.
If we both died, he *thinks* his Mom might take Toby - I know my Mom probably wouldn't. Trixie could go back to Animal Aide since the rescue stands behind their adopted cats 100% - but whether or not she would ACTUALLY end up there is iffy, my Mom would probably have her euthanised (she's been asking me to have her PTS since I bought her almost 5 years ago - she's 10 and has hip problems that she requires daily medication for otherwise she pee's in unwanted places)
As for the rest of the cats - I really have no idea.
Snake - my brother had already admitted that he would take one of my snakes offspring if I chose to breed him, so if I didn't breed him he would probably take my snake - if not, my Dad might. Lizard, D's Mom would probably take her.

Fish would honestly probably end up sold or dropped off at a store that would take them, I can't see my family members wanting them.

I'm not exactly sure, to be honest. I've thought about it quite a bit, but should maybe have something a little more set in stone.

If it was just me, Sean would definitely keep Jasper. Maybe Yarrow too, just for the sake of my memory...but definitely not Onyx. They just aren't compatible for him as solo caretaker, AT ALL.

If both of us died, I think that my dad would take Yarrow. He ADORES Yarrow, even though he's a handful, and I think that my dad would adjust things so that it would work. Jasper is easy, he could go anywhere pretty much, but either my mom or my dad would take him, I think.

Onyx, I am not sure. I don't really know anyone locally who I'd trust her with. I wouldn't want her to go back to her breeder. I would definitely want her to go to a super experienced, preferably sport or working home, someone who could actually deal with her.

Clearly I should put some more thought into Onyx's options!

We've talked about this recently, in all seriousness.

Maddie would go to my parents. My mom is the only one with the patience to care for Maddie right now with all of her "special needs" and they love her like family. They'd take care of her to the best of their ability until it would be time to help her cross that bridge, as they say.

Bailey's another story, though! She has nervous energy that my dad doesn't tolerate well, and she is not too fond of men. She would never settle over there, although I know she wouldn't like being separated from me and Bailey - buuuut, she is crazy over my best friend, and we've talked about it and she promised she would take her if something ever happened to me. She'd be the only one I'd trust (I mean locally, Jess! lol)

My parents would definitely keep Auggie.

Pepper they might keep... or they might send her back to the breeder (or she might ask for her back.) I don't know what they would do with Pepper. I don't even know what I think Pepper would prefer or would be best for her.

Payton I think they would keep but not exactly enjoy having him hahaha. They tell me they like him. And then he actually, you know, moves... or does something... his co-owner might want him, but I don't think they would let him go. Although they might pawn him off on my sister, I think she might sort of like having him, crazy though he is.

We actually put me on Georgie as co-owner so if my parents both died, I would keep her.
Wait! Dibs on pepper! :rofl1:

If something would happen to me, my OH would keep Outlaw and Takoda. Though Outlaw would be under trained and get fat.

If something happens to him, I'd keep Outlaw and most likely would either keep Takoda or have her euth'd. She's a horrible match for me and her issues can be consuming. But that would be the last resort if I had to.

If something happened to both of us, his parents might keep Takoda or she would euth'd, again aggression issues. The problem with his parents keeping her is, she'd be just a yard dog and never let out of her pen, plus she's a hot mess.

Outlaw would either go to my nephew or of he couldn't keep him. Someone in my dock diving club would take him or at least keep him until he could be re-homed to a dock diving home. Or forum members could have him!

One of my friends (most likely my housemate) would definitely end up with Leo. He has tons of fans among my friends.

My parents would not take him, but they also wouldn't let him go to a shelter either. My guess is they would keep him long enough to find a good home for him.

But yeah, I am 95% sure my housemate would take him. She loves him and is planning on getting her own dog someday soon, so I think she would just keep him.

I don't know. I watched one of my friends' dogs have to get placed after she died and it was really sad.

I would not want them to go to my family for a few reasons....I don't really agree with how they care for their dogs. Possibly emily (middle sis) could take the paps. I don't think she'd want Hank. I think my trainer could place Hank easily.

I also know a lady that does papillon rescue so maybe she could take them. I lost contact with Summer's breeder or I'd send them there.

ETA: I could see a couple of my agility friends with teacup dogs taking them and finding homes for them.

If I died, I don't think DH would keep them. He might keep Bubby since she's so easy, but he travels constantly for work so it would be difficult. So realistically Bubbles would probably be taken by my in-laws. Kimma oddly enough has some people who like her so I'm sure she would find a place with someone who does agility. Jari I have no idea LOL. He's super high energy, and I'm kind of his breeder so yeah. I would hope that he would find a sports home, but since no one really knows him yet because we haven't started competing, right now that probably wouldn't happen.

If we both died, same as above except Bubbles would go to the in-laws or back to her breeder.

Hard question.
My mom might consider keeping Merlin, just to have a piece of me, but I know in the end that wouldn't work out, he is just too much dog for her.
I think Merlin would go back to his breeder and I trust she would make the right choice for him.

He has plenty of fans, it's just a question of not having one specific person in mind, so his breeder would be a good landing base to then deal with rehoming him to the right home who would love him as much as I do, which I trust she would do.

If I died...

Joey would probably go to momto8 since I trust her to make the best decision in placing him if she decided she didn't want to keep him.

Bamm would more than likely stay with Josh.

Cricket would be first offered to my friend Anneliese. Josh would probably be willing to keep her but I really would want her in a home where she is actively training, competing in stuff etc. josh wouldn't be able to provide that for her.

Itztli would go back to his breeder.
