Truly smooth aussies are not possible as smooth coat is a dominant trait in double coated breeds so in order for any offspring to be smooth coated at least one parent must also be smooth coated and Aussies are homozygous for longcoat gene.

Ignoring any health conditions (such as allergies or mange) that may cause hair loss in any dog, my Lark is as short coated as they come. What you see in these photos is a perfect outline of her body her coat lays slick against her body only her neck and britches have any considerable fluffy right now.

Tho she will probably gain a little more coat as she ages she will never be super fluffy.
She has about the same amount of coat as Cara bear. Cara is definitely an example of an aussie with a shorter coat as well, she might actually carry a bit less coat than Lark.

Although I hope to have more breeds in the future, If I could only have one breed it would be Cardigan Corgis for sure.

Undecided. I wouldn't want to limit myself at the moment.
^^ that.

I don't know if I found the "perfect" breed for me yet. Art's a mix, Tal is too young to really know yet. So If it came down to it and I had to choose now I'd be SOL. lol

Where's that red Aussie from? I have to say I love Lark's look a lot. That's about my preferred coat length.

Not trying to derail this thread... however, both Cara and Lark's build and coat length makes me think Rider may have some Aussie in him.
