This is Bear's usual day:
Get up from his comfy bed at 6:00 am, when his "mom and dad" get up.

Have breakfast, medications, go outside and potty, lay down in the living room and go back to sleep.

Sleep, more sleep.

Get up around noon, go outside, come back in, go to sleep.

1:00 pm: Lick paws when no one is looking. More sleep.

Have dinner served at 3:00 pm, go play outside, go back to sleep.

Awaken around 4:00 or 5:00 pm, have some light play with mom or dad, beg for a snack, go back to sleep.

6:00: Give cat dirty look for no particular reason, then take a nap.

Go from floor to couch around 8:00 to watch TV.

Get up at 9:00 pm, go to bed.

I want this life! :D

What do your dogs do all day?

Dakota eats early in the morning, swims with me for a good hour or so at about 10AM, then works on obedience, goes over to the neighbors house for some agility practice, and then sleeps until about 4-5PM when he gets to swim once again. After that he gets his frostypaws, a raw meal, and a bone to chew on and he hangs out with me until we go to bed.

Rough life for him. :D

Let's see...Chip won't get up until I do... Yawns and stretches and waits until I potty then follows me to the kitchen while I turn on the coffee ( this is usually between 9 and 10:30 a.m.depends how late I was into Chaz.) Asks for his dog bone, goes out to potty if it isn't raining....then up on his futon to guard the house while I go with my coffee on line. When I finally decide to get dressed, he does too ( I put on his collar ) We then walk to the paper box, but he has to run the fence line with the next door standard poodle....finally comes to get the paper and with it in his mouth shows off to the poodle that HE has a job....takes the paper into the kitchen and tries to put it on the table...then gets more cookies....waits patiently while I read paper and have breakfast as he knows he gets last bite.....then back on the futon until I do things outside or we go car-car. Tells me I should go to bed around 10 and starts out on the bed with me, but prefers the pad next to me or the wood floor and the end of my bed so he can guard the door.

Wow, these dogs are working hard! LOL. Bubba, you reminded me of something Bear does that I forgot to mention. He runs the fence line with the Rotti next door once a day. Boy, he'd be so insulted I forgot that!

I hate to be a bummer but a Dog's life is not always easy, as a volunteer at my local humane soc. I see an awful lot of very abused dogs.

Wake up at around 7-8am

Sniff around mum till she gets up, if still not successfull nudge her with wet nose then tongue

Cuddle mum for a bit

Go out for the toilet

Find nearest toy and throw it about a bit, make mum play aswell (still half asleep)

Have a bowl of biscuits for breakfast then a drink.

10/11am Pace up and down till mum is dressed ready to go the park

Run round the park like a tornado and do not come back when mum shouts, only when ready to go home. (which is about 2 hours later)

1pm Get home have a drink

Find any toy have a play with that

Have a bit of a snooze of all of 30 seconds

play in the garden go get some treats

annoy the cat

dig a hole (or two) then go to mum for some treats

come in have a shake and go to bed for a while

have a cuddle with mum

4/5pm get up have dinner, wipe face all over the couch or any legs that get in the way in the process

have a rest for a bit, either sunbathing or chewing on a treat or toy or more cuddles with mum

6pm (ish) back to the park again, like a tornado for another hour

Aren't they all special !!!! I forgot to add that when I fix Chip's food ( he tells me when it's 5 p.m. ) he's fed on the patio, so Chip runs around and around the patio table while waiting. I tease him sometimes when I feel he needs more excercise ...again, again, and he runs around until I take his food to his station. He then knows to sit patiently until I place it down and say, good dog, enjoy !
