Fingers are crossed that the GM puts her foot down. This is ridiculous.

We have all her information in our handy dandy computer system...I know EVERYTHING, mwuah ha ha. And we do follow-up calls for all of our clients now anyway, I"ll just be totally sure that I'm the one doing hers.

Knowing you Zoom, that girl will be in good hands. That owner should just be honest and give her up for the dog's own happiness.

She was supposed to get picked up today and I would have found out when I went to go get Sawyer from daycare...well it turns out that I've had a screw in my tire for about a month, and that's why it wouldn't hold any air. Had to go get that fixed instead and then had a dinner date. So Sawyer is spending the night at work and I'll find out tomorrow about Zoe.

Ok, so Zoe is still there as of today. I'm happy (or would have been if I had been able to spend more than 30 seconds with her) but what is going on?!

Hmm . . . I'm glad she's still there, but I wonder what happened with the owner.

I've been getting some conflicting reports the past few days. Some people say they've never talked, nor heard anyone talking to the mom. One person is saying that the GM has been in contact with the mom the entire time and just hasn't bothered to pass that information on...I'm really confused. I don't think the GM would flat-out lie to me. But at the very least, the fact that the mom did call the other day means, I believe, that she has an additional two weeks to come pick up.

Not my rules obviously...

WTF.

I'm curious, do they charge extra per night for "overdue" (couldn't think of a better word, lol) dogs?

Do you get along with the GM? Have you explained your feelings about the situation? Would be good if the GM could see it from a logical view, that Zoe would be much more suited and happier in a lifestyle where she gets attention, care and love from your home that she is obviously not getting from the wicked witch, I mean the lady (supposed owner).

I know it’s not up to the GM to choose the better owner, but if he understood the situation and saw the opportunity to help Zoe, then he could tell the lady that she has to show in such and such a time and stop extending the contract.

ETA: I saw the GM knows your feelings… tough situation. Make sure *if the lady comes back, she knows that she doesn’t have to keep Zoe if it is too much for her, as it seems to be. That Zoe will go to a good replacement home.

No, I wish. But she's paying $28/day anyway...it ain't cheap. Still here today; didn't get a chance to discuss Zoe with the GM. I hope that my mentor gets back in town soon, she's totally on my side about this.

Can't you just go on a camping trip and lose the dog? "Woops...sorry lady. She's gone." You want to stow her away for a while up here in the north Idaho wilderness? Of course, if you leave her here more than 2 weeks, you might not get her back. She sounds like a sweetie. LOL. Gosh! Seriously, I do hope she decides that the dog is better off and just forgets it.
