Which of these looks most "time-lordy" to you?

I'm thinking the first one.

I'm planning on a concho on either side of this design:

But I'm still agonizing over whether Logan can pull off a 2" martingale

Is there any way the design would fit on a 1.5" collar? 2" collars are kind of overwhelming even on my borzois, I think Logan could pull it off but a slightly smaller one would probably work better.

Personally I like the 4th one with the vertical lines best with the design, if they're going to flank it. The lines are reminiscent of the Tardis, and should frame up that nice meandering circular stuff really well. I think adding something with more movement on either side of it would just make the design get a bit lost in itself.

ETA: but if you're going for conchos that look like a continuation of the design, then yeah the first one is awesome for that. :)

Tallulah's wearing a 2" collar and it's not overwhelming on her; really, a narrower one would look a little underdone, I think. Maybe that will give you a gauge.

With Romy on the conchos. :)

Thanks for the input! Now that you mention it I do think the 4th one would look good.

They can't make the embroidery and smaller or it won't come out, so as of right now the collar has to be 2" or nothing. I may end up just doing some conchos and stuff instead.

I do have one more idea that I'm trying to work the details out for that should give me more flexibility in width, but I haven't finalized it yet. Basically I found someone who laser engraves leather materials, so I would get a strap engraved and then have it made into a collar by Ella's Lead, so long as they're willing to do that. Not sure if it will be cost-prohibitive, though, waiting to find out.

If you like wide collars I am sure 2 would be fine. But then again I like 1.5 on my little dogs. 2 inch with taper is really common on whippets and IMO looks great.

Gavroche is in a 1.25" and I don't think he could handle a 2" by any stretch. Logan's neck is longer and he's fluffier, so I think he *might* be able to do it, since it's a martingale and only covers part of his neck. But I'm still not sure.

Ideally I've have a big fawn or blue great dane :rofl1: :rofl1:
