can you block the couch from her? Or get some cardboard and staple it to the underside of the couch?

Lol thanks guys...

I don't know about stapling to the couch, but I could possibly try it. Knowing me, I'd mess up the couch worse lol!

I'm just pondering how one 5 lb dog can cause more damage than my past 12 dogs...

I would crate her when you're gone, and keep her on a leash when you're home, or if you don't want to keep her leashed, you can try redirect her every time she tries to go under the couch (I understand if she's too fast for that!).

I hope this isn't takenthe wrong way, but your stories remind me So Much of the ferts! At least I knew what I was getting myself into :rofl1: :lol-sign:

There are these foam type noodles you can buy (they seem exactly like the pool floaty noodle thingies) for couches. I think you just Velcro or tape them on. Though I think that black cardboard stuff and duct tape would work just as well. Might want to ferret proof the rest of the house as well :rofl1: :D :p

What about sliding some narrow cardboard boxes under there?

Otherwise you can try the hole digging solution ... stick some poop in it

She would definitely just tear up the boxes.

Lol, Brattina, someone else told me I need to ferret proof my apartment. Lmao I am thinking that might be the best bet.

I'm thinking we're going to have to go back to leashing her to me. I just have no clue when she is doing this stuff as she's crated when I'm gone!

I'd get some 2x4s or whatever will block the underneath of the couch... nail together to make a square, and stick it under the couch.

Ditto the 2x4 idea... she would just chew pieces out of the foam pool-type noodles too (that would be a fab new game for her, in fact, and potentially dangerous.) I think Home Depot will cut boards for you but I'm not positive. Measure, then go get some wood and frame up the bottom of the couch so it's solid. You don't have to screw them together but it wouldn't hurt if you have a power drill and know how to use it (use screws so you can take the frame apart later!)
