I have this dog its a rat terrier her name is princesa. I lover her dearly shes like my child. About a week ago i was in my bedroom and notice that it was kind of hot so i thought i bring the dog inside even though she has a big house and a pool outside. I brought her in and she came to my room she always comes staright to my room and stays with me. Anyhow i was coming up the stairs and i was listening to my walkman and i sat right next to her. I was taking my walkman off when suddenly she ran out the room and downstairs i didnt Know what to think so i went down and she was sitting on the couch so i put her back outside because i had things to do. Ever since then she wont come to my room whatsoever. I havent seen her in a week because i dont like going outside and the dog is always inside but she will not come to my room anymore. Someone please tell me what could have cause this. I miss my dog so much i feel like she doesnt love me anymore. Please Help.

Something about your Walkman may have frightened her. Try cajoling her back to your room. Put a leash on if you need to and talk to her softly, maybe using some treats as lures. Once she's in there be very quiet and make it a good experience for her with lots of affection and petting - and more of her favorite treats. It may take a few tries before she comes all the way back into your room, and you really, really need to be going outside and playing with her. Not only does she need your attention, she needs the exercise. She very likely thinks you don't love her anymore!

Apollo does that too and Renee is right, at first... i had to literally drag a 50 pound beast down the stairs becuase he was too afraid and he needed to learn to come downstairs becuase that was his home. Something frightened him it might have been other animal odours, or perhaps the faint smell of must from the old storage closet which is all taken care of but now and then he get's spooked.

Use a little peanut butter. That always seems to work for me. They come right to the peanut butter!
