Lots of positive vibes coming for hw positive and a place for them at the rescue soon. They are two very lucky dogs that they're being fed and loved.

NO HEARTWORM! Woohoo! :D

They do have some intestinal worms (expected) and Mustard has what appears to be an abscessed bite wound. :( But he got it drained and got some antibiotics for it. And I've got some Panacur for those gut worms. Other than that, the vet said they're well on they're way to recovery.

We also believe that Mustard is around 3 years or so, and Ketchup is around 7.

Project Rescue Chicago and The Trio Foundation took lots of pics are going to post them on their Facebook pages and try to get them cross-posted. I've been advertising them at work, so fingers crossed.

That is good news about the HW. I really hope they find homes soon. Not just for your sake, but those sweet faces really need their own peoples.

Aaaahhhhh!!! :D May have found a place for Mustard! A regular client from work with adorable pit mix girl, whose whole family loves pits, is probably going to "foster" Mustard. (Pretty sure they'll want to keep him.) I really hope this works out!

ETA: THEY'RE TAKING HIM!!! She wouldn't say for sure that they would KEEP him, she just said, "Well, we'll probably get attached..."

Update: now that the boys are vaccinated, we decided to do a brief meeting with roomie's dog Balto in the yard this morning. (We've already resigned ourselves to worming all the dogs in the house, lol, so no worries there.) It went great! Mustard is very playful but not overwhelming or rude. Ketchup was a tiny bit tense but quickly relaxed. Mustard and Balto played, Ketchup went about his business.

This makes me sure that Mustard will get along with his sister Bella in his new home. :D

This is really great news. You really stepped up and are following this thru. I know you're doing it because it is right and not for the Kudos, but KUDOS to you, you deserve all of them and then some.

Thanks for the updates, i'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say, we're all interested in following this thru you and appreciate all you've done.
