oh wow--I am constantly amazed that people could treat animals like this. :( Good on you for taking care of them--hopefully a rescue situation will work out.

Hey you guys, thanks for all the help. Sorry I disappeared briefly, things got crazy with work.

Yesterday, they got into a scuffle in their crate right before my roommate left for work (totally unsurprising) so we had to cram one of them into a shipping crate that was way too small. However, I have must have some good luck, because a regular client of ours dropped off two medium sized crates she didn't need/want anymore, and my boss let me take them. So now they're in separate, appropriately-sized crates, which is a huge weight off my mind.

I got them some Nutrical. Holy crap. There's over 400 calories in 1/4 teaspoon. No wonder they put on weight with that stuff. LOL.

They are improving everyday, and they keep getting sweeter and wigglier, so that's great.

Thanks to everybody who sent PM's, I'll be answering them shortly. Probably tonight after work.

Here are some more pics:

Thank you for helping them!! I can't believe people would do that to their dogs.

If you need help financially, definitely put it on here, I would be happy to help these poor dogs.

I really appreciate all the offers to help, and I promise to let you know if I need it.

We've named them Ketchup and Mustard. :D We were calling them "Red" and "Yellow" before, but we like Ketchup and Mustard.

They got baths today! I called a local self-wash place and told them the story, and she only charged me $10 for BOTH dogs, and helped me wash them. They smell so much better and have to feel better too. They all but dragged me to the car too, lol.

Also, they were champs in the store. Happy wiggle butt for all the people and zero reaction to several (rude!) dogs.

Well, it's mixed news. We're going to meet with Bridgid from Project Rescue today at their veterinarian. They'll be a getting a check up and a HW test. I need vibes for two negative tests, as the outlook for them if it's positive is not good. If it's negative, we'll then proceed with vacs, worming, and basic care.

The "bad" news is that there's no one to take them atm. I'm happy to care for them but I rent, and my landlords are being super awesome but I don't want to take advantage of them. So we'll have to see.
