Well I received a call from a lady I met 2 yrs ago. This lady always seemed to know what she was talking about. But today I could have literally shot her.

We were taking about our dogs. My dog training program and her dog program.

Well She started to tell me that she had bred her dogs right up until the age of 9. How outragious. What a UUUUHM. Now I did not state that to her and to behonest with you I just said I have to go.

I can not beleive that this person can live with herself. Her statement to me was, my dogs are my living if I did not have that I would be in deep you know what. I am only being nice as this is a forum so the swear words will be held back.

Can you believe this she just took in a dog that was taken to a trainer for socialisation. The trainer had the dog for a few weeks her and her sister. Well upon the dogs return to home the breeder of the dog put both dogs back in the same run with mom.

Mom would kill the one dog and almost kill the other dog. I just do not know what to say feel or do. So yeah guys how do you feel about this stupidness

I know responsible breeders that have bred older (6-10) bitches without any problems. They aren't maidens at that age though, please note.

The age doesn't bother me in and of itself but the rest of it sounds cruddy.

I agree i think the age thing really has to dog with specific breed and dogs some can rebound at older ages some cant. SO far i think I only have one bitch i can breed at age 7 that is one out of 4.

I must admit when I spayed tasha at age 6 she got more fit and healthier and that is why she will hopefully live a long time....Age 10 and she is the oldest CAS out that was a breeding female...... Many of her siblings are dead from Pryos or died during birth.

The age she was breeding is not too uncommon to see. The rest really sucks!
