Technically, she's a foster, which was a dangerous thing for me to do since I've had the second-dog itch for a couple of months now.

She's about a year old, came in as a stray but with a flea collar. She's super thin right now. She's such a little dainty love bug. If you're sitting down, she's in your lap. Immediately. But if I'm sitting in my desk chair, she plops down happily on the couch. She's been zonked out for the past 4 or 5 hours and has barely moved no matter how much noise I've made.

She doesn't have a name yet: I have it narrowed down to Callie and Nymia (after Nymeria, Arya Stark's pup from Game of Thrones).

I just have iPhone shots for now. I took a bunch of her while she slept, but I've been editing for 3 or 4 hours and still haven't gotten to hers, so I'm throwing in the towel. I'll have better ones up soon!

Chester wasn't sure at first (he's not normally sure of new dogs) but he pretty quickly warmed up.

She'd just licked my nose!

Perfect.

She is small. I'd guess she's around 10 pounds right now. She's a little taller than Chester (who's about 17 pounds, but a bit on the long side), but definitely lankier, even with extra weight.

With the look in her eyes in that first photo my bet is she doesn't stay temporary long. Good for you, looks like a whole lot of love and intelligence packed in that little package. Tell her Smkie thinks she is a dandy.

Thanks everyone! I'm telling myself she's temporary until Feb. 1, then I'll probably finalize it. She slept all the way through the night in her crate! She's curled up in my lap right now.

She's not eating or drinking much, but I think she's still a little frazzled. She doesn't seem too dehydrated right now (her skin's a little slow going down, but not horrifically so), so I'm not super worried right now. She hasn't gone to the bathroom at all, except for a couple drops of piddle I found in her crate after I went to the store, but I expect that's from the lack of eating/drink. If this hasn't changed by tonight I'm calling my friend at the shelter (who convinced me to look at this girl to begin with! It's all her fault).

So far her only vice is some separation anxiety. If I'm anywhere in the apartment, even if she can't see me, while she's in her box she's fine. As soon as I walk out the door, though, she's screaming bloody murder. I'm going to try a frozen PB kong and see if that helps (maybe it'll get some food in her!). Any other suggestions are welcome, for my neighbors' ears' sake.

And after sleeping on it, I think she's a Callie!

I'm thinking right now she's maybe afraid that she will be given away again. I think in time she may calm down. How about playing some music in the room she's in if you leave so it's not so quiet.
