I went home for my dad's birthday this weekend and I got to see Dixie. She was so excited to see me. I think I was more excited to see her, but she was so happy!!!! I have a picture of her and my grandpa together. So cute!!! The hardest part was when we were leaving. Dixie just stood at the fence and watched me the whole time I was getting in the truck and driving off. She is doing wonderful there! I am very happy the way things worked out!!!

That's so good to hear. I worried so much about the two of you when you said you were going to have to find her another home. Now that she's with your Grands I am just so relieved!

I'm sure she still misses you and probably hasn't fully decided that she's "home" now at your grandparents' house, but she will over time and will be even happier than she is now. And you don't have to worry about something happening to her.

The funny thing is, when I first got Dixie, she was just a baby, and I took her to my grandparents house to show her off. Well, from the first day my grandpa saw her, he has wanted her. He would always tell me, you can just leave her here with me! Now, he has her. Funny how some things work out.

I just feel like such a relief knowing that she will be safe there. Plus, at my grandparents house, Dixie is the BIG dog. She's the biggest one there. My granny has mini dachtsunds, chihuahuas, and a toy poodle. Plus, the other two boston terriers. But, they are smaller than Dixie. So, she's pretty much in heaven.
