I got a new guinea pig! Pics inside..

At the beginning of November, my oldest guinea pig, died of pneumonia at almost 5 1/2 years old (that's a good age for a guinea pig). About a week or two weeks later I went to the City of Manassas Animal Adoption Center and adopted this little guy!

Leo, Cece, and Pepper. This was the most decent shot I got. Being an intact male, Leo only has one thing on his mind, so he kept chasing the girls around instead of staying still! Don't worry though, I made sure no hanky panky occurred. I have no interest in breeding guinea pigs, and the girls seem to have no interest in getting pregnant. They were actually pretty unhappy with me for putting Leo next to them.

Sometimes Leo likes to sit ON his piggie house. Its a good thing adult guinea pigs can't jump very high, and can't climb!

Mine are kept in a separate room from the one I sleep in, so I don't have to worry about listening to them at night, when they are most active. At my old house the piggies I had lived in my room, so sometimes I would get quite annoyed. There were nights when I shoved one of their cages out in the hall so I could get some sleep!

I had smaller cages then.

Augh, he's so cute! I had a big thing for piggies a few years back but never was allowed to get one.. Leo! He looks like a piggie version of Pit.
