I have a bit of an obsession. I admit it. I am contantly looking at different breeders.

Im sure you all have a fav breed.. And maybe some of you have the IDEAL dog (lookswise and temp wise) in your head?

Well I just found my DREAM shepherd. Honestly. I opened the link to his page and almost passed out.

I had this image in my head of what I would like, although i dont *really* care what color or size or anything i get when i get my shepherd as long as the shepherd personality is there.

but OMG. *dies*.

I have been drooling over this guy all day..

Honestly, I have looked at 1 million breeder websites and i gotta tell you, so far, i think this breeder might be the one.. Of course i couldnt be certain wihtout talking to the breeder but it looks great so far.

He is cute.. just wondering why they want him sold as a stud. Bet he would make a great dog sport partner though, look at those eyes.

I will agree with Dekka that he appears to toe out some, which isn't "normal" for a GSD.

Jenn, He wont be arriving unfortunatly.. too bad though, he's a looker for sure.

Not sure why they want to seel him as a stud.. They breed working dogs so maybe he has great working ablity or something..I havent been in touch ... yet..

His eyes are just to die for.. My mom thinks he looks scary. but i like them.

My mom really is set on getting a puppy so she can "grow with it"... And my dad wants to wait until after he goes to alberta in tthe spring (Which makes sense, he will be gone for a few months).. so im back to dreaming and researching kennels and such until then.
Oh well, one will come my way in time..

I looked at the site, nice dogs, but they don't seem to have any goal in mind for breeding, they are breeding kind of a mish mash of lines. The all black, has no titles until 4 generation. Nice dogs, but they just dont seem to have a 'purpose' in mind for breeding.


I wouldn't pay 2000 for Bowen, tho he's lovely, I definately would go to wildhaus before this breeder (I'm more of a fan of ddr/czech dogs) atleast she penn hips )

Or maybe this guy? http://www.germanshepherddogs.ca/ I contacted them about Bella and her issues, to see if he knew of anyone who may be able to help out (which is how I came across the kennel above), and he was very willing to help me out, even though I don't have one of his dogs... Seems like he genuinely loves the breed.

No, but he looks like he hasn't filled out yet. With Belgians, it's not uncommon to have toeing out until their chest fills in.

That breeder might be on the right path, but they're nowhere near where they think they are. Bowen is gorgeous, but not worth the $2000 they're asking.

I emailed asking if they ever had pet quality pups available and I got a VERY long email back with lots of info , thats what I like froma breeder! I still have alot of questions and Im giving them alot of info on my lifestyle and our situation and such.

Narnia? She seems like a nice woman to talk to... I'm trying to plan an assessment with her for Bella, because she has a lot of experience training dogs... The other breeder in PEI looks good too - I'd probably choose him over her, but I don't know...

He's a nice looking dog for the most part. But that toeing out is not normal. I wouldn't pay $2,000 for him. (or any dog)
