i am new here and i have a few questions about my puppy

hey guys my name is Tami, im from bc canada and im new to this site, i just got a puppie 2 days ago and i havnt slept well, in 2 days! im exausted i hope i get sleep tonight. His name is Oscar and he is a bichon x minuature shnauzer hes really cute and i love him to pieces. ok so i have never owned a puppy, keep this in mind, hes 10 weeks old and i took him to the vet yesterday to get his first round of shots, well he came home after and at night he started puking heaving he wouldnt puke up much but he did it through out the night, i felt horrible like i didnt know how to help him has anyone been through this? also he sleeps alot! is that normal? the only things i know health wise that are wrong woth him is that he has worms, and has ear mites, i have drops for his ears, and hes geting de-wormed on the weekend...give me your thoughts please...thanks guys

I'm glad you joined hopefully we can give you the help you need He could be having a bad reaction to the inoculations or the worms are making him throw up. you may want to cal the vet and see what they have to say about it. I don't know how serious an allergic reaction would be so I'll leave that up to other chaz members to tell you. I hope everything turns out to be ok and you get the help you need. If he keeps throwing up you need to take him to the vet. It could be something besides a reaction to his shots. Is he a rescue pup or did you get it from a breeder? If you got him from a breeder there shouldn't have been worms or ear mites. Poor baby boy. I hope he gets better soon.

thanks guys for the warm welcome, its good to know there are people out there that know what im talking about and can guide me in the right direction, i love you ! last night we used his crate and he slept ok although i had to pee him a few times , but tonight i think im just going to let him tough it out through the night , do you think that thats okay to do? i dont want him thinking everytime he crys im going to come to him, so ill just leave him till the morning to pee, how does that sound to you guys?

at 10 weeks he probably can't make it through the night without going to the bathroom yet. You should not go to him when he whines, try to take him out before he starts whining or wait for a break in the whining to let him out. Like buddy's parents said, you should ask about it in the proper section (training) so more people will see it.
