Anyone have references for a husky breeder?

My brothers GF sister is looking for one.

And this is not my cup of tea area of expertise.

Thanks in advance will check PM later.

You are thinking of NY city area--that is one portion of NY state--lots of areas that would work for Huskies here in NY--Upstate has lots of rural areas, lots of snow and cold! buffalo, rochester, syracuse, potsdam, and more!

Ic I just picture the state with huge buildings and like no where to move thats all. I want to live in the country so as long as there is a rural area it would work :).

These look alright (a lot of females but they say they only breed occasionally so hopefully that's true): http://kingsransomsiberians.com/

That's all I could really find but at the breed club site there are breeders: http://www.shca.org/shcahp4f.htm#NY

She'll have to make sure they show or work the dogs and that they are all health screened by something like OFA or CERF etc.

Husky Breeder in Upstate

I'm at Ft. Drum, NY -
There's a long-term kennel (for those of us that deploy etc) that raises Huskies I believe. Check the Watertown Craigslist (there's one trying to rehome a husky with sled and harness) I think those are the same people, but not 100%...not sure how ethical they are since I only called them in regards to boarding my dogs when I got to NY.
I think they are in Pulaski or Dexter area...I'll look them up tonight.

EDIT: Here's the link to the one in Dexter - http://watertown.craigslist.org/pet/700429865.html

I came to Upstate NY (I'm about 30 minutes from Canada) from Arizona...which is pretty rural...and this place is beyond rural. It's mostly dairy farms up in the north country...and Amish.

Do they want a pet, show dog or working dog?

Fair difference between them :p

There is one husky rescue that I really liked the look of, called Tails of the Tundra I think, if its still around, you might want to check them out.
