Gus is an allround good dog!! He'll bark at strangers, makes me freek out if it's in the night though! 
And they are so sensitive to the slightest change in our behaviour aren't they! I was once out walking with Gus one evening and this man kept insisting on trying to get near me (I don't think he was all there, or maybe he was drunk!) And Gus put himself between us and really growled!!!! There was even bearing of the teeth!! Needless to say the man backed off very quickly and Gus got a treat!
