Hello dog lovers! Let me introduce myself...my name is Dana, I love love love dogs and I walk them for a living ;) I enjoy having them around and meeting new dogs every day in the park.
I have two dogs, Mittan who is a feisty but loveable Pomeranian/poodle and Zoey, a friendly and charming retriever.

Mittan is the topdog of the group, of course (aren't all small dogs hee hee) and loves to run the house! (or car, or park!) Absolutely no lap is too good for this little dog. She loves sitting on people's laps at the park, and any lap is terrific. She's not fussy. Whether she knows them or not, it doesn't matter. Often it's an older person, and they all love her and want her to stay with them. She MUCH prefers to hang out with humans, but she's quite social with other dogs too. Well, she tolerates them...as long as they do what she tells them too :) She loves lying in the grass, sunny spots near the window, and her favourite foods are carrots, sweet red peppers and spicy pasta.

Zoey is a sweet and friendly retriever. She loves her little sister Mittan, but knows that Mittan always runs the show (and her life!) Like most retrievers, Zoey is absolutely addicted to her frisbee. She will spent countless hours in the park running for it if I let her ;) She enjoys playing in the snow during the winter and diving into any body of water come summer. She hasn't met a pond, river, lake or puddle she hasn't liked! Zoey will eat almost anything, she’s not overly fussy.

I look forward to meeting you all (and your dogs) and reading more on this terrific forum!!

Thanks!!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Great to see a few other canucks on here, that's super. I'm from Ontario and I wasn't sure where this forum/site was based. I'm loving reading through everything, so much great info and fun to read.
I haven't figured out how to attach photos on this forum, when I hit the little image button, it asks me for the image url, I only have my pics on my computer files, not sure how to get around that? So I attached my blog url as my flickr app on my blog has lots of pics of my 2 dogs mittan and zoey, and a few of my other doggie friends. Oh and Zoey my retriever is the one in my profile pic on here too (that's if it's still working, it was acting funny but I think I fixed it). I'll figure the adding image thing shortly, if anyone could be so kind to tell me what I'm doing wrong, that would be great...thanks!

Cheers!! :)

Chaz is US based.. but like many forums we Canucks hold our own :D!

I use photobucket and flickr. I just copy the image location and then click on the picture button (between the link and the quote buttons) and put the image location in the pop up window. Voila peekturs.

You can use ImageShack, Photobucket, etc., so that the photos are hosted online and you have a URL to post the image.

hey bubbatd, goldens are such wonderful dogs aren't they? They have such distinct beautiful eyes too! I always worry that zoey is sad because sometimes her eyes look so forlorn. But I think it's mostly a trick as she wants a treat and has that look ready and waiting when she's hungry ;) She spends most of her day at the park with her frisbee so I know she's actually not sad! ;)
