It always has me puzzled.
The vet I worked for charged, I believe, $12 a pop to do glands, and he pushed it like crazy...never telling these people that it wasn't necessary UNLESS the dog had problems. It's my opinion that constantly expressing their glands for no good reason (doing a job the dog can do on it's own) can lead up to problems that wouldn't have existed had we just left well enough alone.
