I wish I could sleep with Blondie, but I sleep on the top of a bunk bed and I don't want him falling in his sleep :( But he's definitely allowed on furniture, when visitors come and try to sit on the couch, Blondie will get on it first and wave his tail, it's some sort of game and people really laugh when they notice they were about to sit on him!! :D He's not allowed on my parents bed. Of course there's hair all over the house (except their bed) and car!

Yup Pixie though she is huge (over 100lbs) is aloud on all the furniture and all the beds. It would be weird if she she wasent. None of our dogs were ever not aloud on the furniture.

Wow, I must be a weirdo. Zeus is not allowed on the furniture. At least, not in theory. But when I come home from work, there is always a suspicious "soozing dog"-shaped indention on the couch. I've decided on a don't ask, don't tell policy....

LOL, Gempress . . . . give 'em an inch and they'll take the bed . . .

The bed is the one place ours aren't allowed, but every so often if we forget to close the bedroom door before we leave there is one of those suspiciously warm and big-dog body shaped spots on the bed with a corresponding big dog head spot on the pillow - complete with drool

I do not mind the dog on the furniture as long as they make room for the human counterparts. I do not allow Yukon on the furniture because he pees on beds and couches. No clue why but it is gross so he is a floor dog. Dallas will be allowed on the furniture if she does not pee on it.

I do not allow my dogs to be on the furniture. They don't have a problem with it. I guess I just never started it. They lay right beside us on the floor.
And it is easier to vacuum the floor, than the couch.lol

I don't have fancy furniture..besides i like to cuddle
when my daughter was living with me..she was around 13 i think..we had two small bedrooms so Aaron received one of course, and Mypy and i had to share the other. I got a set of bunk beds, i took the top..she took the bottom. Bronki slept on top with me (he weighed about 80 lbs)...and when he jumped down he always looked carefully where she was and jumped to the side without even waking her up. that is until one morning she she rolled over. I never felt so bad in my whole life, all i can say is Mypy is made of tuff stuff because he landed right in her middle. I think it would have broken me in two. She didn't cry, or have any temporary damage..Bronki felt as bad as well..so if you do sleep with your dog on the top bunk..make sure no one is bellow.

Mine's not allowed on ANY furniture.

He does come up to a couch, move up the cushions and sit on the wooden frame. Thats allowed :)

Its just high enough for him to sit down comfortably with fron paws still on floor.

It depends ...

... couches and chairs, I don't mind. My bed is another story. My older dog Patches isn't allowed on the bed at night while I'm asleep. She's a pretty good sized dog and will hog about half the bed. Kairi on the other hand being a Corgi, only takes up a corner leaving me plenty of room to toss and turn.

Ripley is allowed to run amok all over the furniture, because he's just spoiled beyond your wildest imagination. He sleeps in my bed at night, so of course he's allowed on the bed.

Dakota is NOT allowed on the couches unless I give him permission. He usually just wants to get up for cuddling, anyway. He's allowed on the beds anytime, but if there are people in the beds, he has to wait. (Or so we say. He usually doesn't, and just leaps up onto an unsuspecting sleeping person to shower them with licks.)

Both of my dogs are small enough so that no matter how hard they try, they can't hog my entire queen-sized bed. (This is the sad part... I got the huge bed so my dogs could sleep there. :p )

Well right now I don't live in my own house, so my dog isn't allowed on the couches. He's not really allowed on my bed because my cat thinks that place is her safety net! I bought my dog a dog bed that he can lie on though. I don't know about the couch thing since my dog will be HUGE.

I have found that percale sheets (the better grade...more stitches per inch) are perfect to use as covers for the furniture. The hair does not become embedded in them, they are easy to shake out, wash and dry and replace. And they last for years, and years, and years, and years!!!!!!!!! Queen size is bestest!

Charlie's allowed on our furniture...except he keeps jumping off and on and off and on and it can get annoying sometimes. :D And besides, we don't have a couch.

ROFL! Orion is tricky as Kharma. When she was still small enough for Shiva to push around, Shiva had her buffaloed about getting up on the sofa. Kharma would get up on the sofa, but if Shiva wanted that spot she'd make Kharma get down. One day little Kharma had just had enough. When Shiva came over and made her move, Kharma got down, but she pulled all the cushions and all the afghans down on the floor and made a nest of them for herself, leaving Shiva ooking agrieved having to settle for the hard frame . . .
