FaceZ, your dog won't need to be trained to guard you and your home. She'll do it naturally. What you do need to help her with is learning to accept normal contact with other people. Teach her to always sit when you tell her, stay, how to walk with good manners on a leash and how to be calm, especially when there are strange people around.
Believe me, she'll be able to tell if she needs to protect you or your home.

I'm sorry to sound mean, but since you have very little knowledge about dogs, you have no business training a dog to seriously defend your or her territory. A dog trained in protection takes a knowledeable handler, someone who knows how to control a dog and someone who understands dogs, and from your previous posts I'm convinced that you are not such a handler.
Almost all dogs have a natural territorial instinct, and since she is still a young dog, that instinct probably hasn't kicked in yet.

With a Rott/Heeler mix, it's natural protective instincts should kick in pretty smoothly as long as you can get it to be well behaved and obedient. For normal home "watchdog" duties both breeds alone (so I'm assuming it so for a mix) natural "protect the pack" breeding will make them alert you to anything that they perceive to be a threat to your pack.

She looked just like a Heeler...back and forth, head down, pawing the ground, barking at that mean old machine. It was cool.
When I had my Rottie, she became an instant watchdog once she got through basic obedience.
