Hi and welcome to Chaz :).

I have 2 cats along with my dog and they are fine together. I think as long as you socialise and introduce them appropriately things should go according to plan :).

Hi, WELCOME to Chaz :) I also have two cats and a dog and quite honestly I can't remember ever living without both at the same time. If you look at my avatar they both love eachother and are always playing. Your cat maybe mad at first and not like the idea. But they will get over it eventually :D

Hello, it is all about training! If you train the puppy from the very begining to be gentle with the cat, then you should be fine.

Also ask alot of questions to the person you get the dog from. If you are planning to rescue a dog, most rescues know if the dog is good with cats or not, if you plan on buying a puppy, ask about "prey drive" and such.

But with proper training you should be fine.

    Welcome to Chaz

Welcome! My dog was 9 years old when introduced to her first cat, 2 years old. We let them get to know each other slowly and they became best of friends. When we get a new puppy (having 3 cats in the house), we watch closely and tell the puppy not to hurt the cats. The cats usually are very cautious and take their time getting to know the new member. We have 4 dogs & 3 cats who live very nicely together.
