We're thinking that we might change Tucker off of the Taste of the Wild food. He's kind of itchy, has some dandruff and his poops stink. I mean I know poop smells but there could be room for improvement I think, won't know until I try.

But before I go off and choose another food I want to know if I can feed high protein food to him (like EVO) or if that's dangerous. He's 6 months old and 14 pounds or so. I don't think he has a lot of growing left to be honest. Opinions?

Quinn has been on Acana Grasslands since ... 3 months-ish? I'm really happy with it. Her coat is beautiful, no itchiness or dandruff, she's at a good steady weight and her poops are very small and firm. She does go around 3-4 times a day which is a lot, but she's also still being fed 3 times a day.

Dally, too, does very well on Acana.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Nia has been on Orijen (40-42%) since she was 8 months old and she pretty much grew up on a high protein food. Currently she's on Acana (33-35%).

Popcorn our family Chihuahua ate Orijen's puppy formula since 3 months old and he turned out fine.

Thanks for all the input, I won't worry about it then. I'm glad I can disregard it as several grain free foods (which it would be nice to stick to) have proteins around 40%.
