    Hi everyone,

I have a question for everyone. My pup Saddie.. is always hiccups... its not continious or anything, but when she first wakes up she will start to hiccup or when she gets in trouble she hiccups. This morning she was hiccuping so hard she was shaking the bed. She is a 7 month old Blue Tick Coonhound about 40 pounds. Please anything will be helpful, i dont want to go to the vet and pay to here its nothing big.

    Thanks,

    Bri

hiccups are a VERY common thing for puppies.

My Belgian, Riot always got hiccups when he was younger. They seem to grow out of them ;)

Are you SURE they are hiccups and nothing serious?

    that's normal, especially if she's a puppy.

She'll probably grow out of it.

Charlie still gets hiccups pretty often. When he gets them I usually pick up a ball or something and throw it and it's like it takes his mind off of the hiccups and they go away.

Ah yes.... hiccups. Nothign to worry about if you are sure they are hiccups. Beezer my greyhound mix gets them almost everyday. there is no rhyme or reason to when or why he gets them.... but it is most often in the morning or in the evening. But they don't bother him and they go away pretty quickly.

BTW.... I also have a bluetick coonhound. I would love to see some pictures :D
