Ok, so I *love* seeing pictures of how ferrets changed in colour, and find it quite fascinating ;) So... share pictures of your ferrets when you got them, and them "now"!

Rascal. I cheated, the "before" pic is from 2009.. I got him in 2006, but I could not find any earlier pics of him on photobucket (and the computer is new so there are no old pics on it). He has changed in colour, he has gotten lighter, but has darker guard hairs.

Renegade. The "then" photo is the day after I got him, the "now" photo is a few days ago. I found his baby pics on his old owners facebook :) I do not think he has really changed, except his mask has become more sharp, and he has gained muscle.

Rogue. The "then" photo is the day after I got him, the "now" photo is from the beginning of May, a few weeks before he was PTS. I found his baby pics on his old owners facebook :) Obviously, he had changed quite a bit. Started off as a silver, turned into a DEW, and then turned orange when he got sick. (Which I now know is an early sign of adrenal)

Harley. The "then" picture is the day I brought her home, the "now" picture is a few weeks ago. I have asked for a photo of her before her tail was partially amputated, so I may have that to share soon (she is checking if they have one showing her tail). The only real difference with her.. is she is now FAT. You can tell LOL

Izzy

when I first got her (litterally, the first day lol)

Starting to fade...

And more...

And now :)

And Murtagh hasn't changed a whole lot... but he has darkened up a little and his coat has changed in "texture" I guess you could say... Now that I look at the pictures side by side his mask has darkened and defined more :)

Casey as a kit:

Casey young adult:

Casey before she got sick (4 years):

Dameon as a kit:

Dameon as a young adult - yes, he was a FAT man. He didn't loose all of that pudge until he hit about 4 LOL:

Dameon now (5yrs) - his coat was nice and plush, but after he got sick he's lost weight and his coat is thin again. I'm hoping with some TLC he'll perk back up.:

Ruben the day I adopted him (December):

Ruben now (February):

Rinnie hasn't changed at all. LOL

I just hope her speckled nose doesn't go away. I love it! And the little white band on her tail needs to stick around, too.

Casey and Dameon both went through a stage where they almost lost their mask entirely one summer and were really light (which are the pictures I showed of them as young adults), but after that they actually stayed pretty consistent with the colors.
