I'm having troubles walking one of my dogs right now. He's young and a rescue and tugs on the leash more than he should. We're working on that, but in the meantime, a dog walk leaves me in pain because I'm going through a flare up of fibromyalgia. Can any of you recommend a leash or gadget or strategy for walking on the leash with less yanking on my body? Unfortunately I haven't yet found a safe place for him to run off-leash. Corky has shown aggression to bad-mannered dogs.

My friend has a 65 lb. puppy (yes puppy) which doesn't like the gentle leader around his face which was helping.

She just ordered this and it works great. The puppy isn't pulling when it walks now.

She ordered hers from here:

I prefer ones like the easy walk. It works due to redirection not pain/discomfort. Something that is very important if your dog shows signs of DR/DA

Thanks Dekka. I think I've seen the Easy Walk at a shop here. I'll check it out.

Congrats, by the way, on your weight loss. I'm trying to maintain a 50lb loss and working out with the dogs sure helps. It keeps me away from the cookies, anyhow. LOL

the easy walk is wonderful. my puppy never pulls at all. The one problem i am having with it is he got a sore under his front leg from it. I wonder if i have it sized right for him? anyone ever see this?

The ONLY thing that ever worked for casey (Casey was a BAD puller) Wa s alittle trick I learned from somebody blog.

I had a 6 ft leash and I would hook the leash to her collar and I would hold the leash at about 1 foot away from her collar and I would take the rest of the leash and wrap it down around her chest once and hold the end of the leash in the same hand. And I would walk her like that. She wouldnt pull AT ALL when I did that.

I hope I explained that clearly.. Lol.. I can picture it in my head perfectly but explaining it is a different thing all together. Ill try to find the place where I found the Idea!

One of the harnesses we have has sleeves of fun fur that go under Corky's legs. I'll bet you could add some fabric on your harness.
